Be Grateful, Not Wasteful aims to raise awareness of the FOOD WASTE issue, inspire people to appreciate food more and change their wasteful habits.
Around 800, 000 tonnes of edible food gets wasted by households in NSW, Australia every year. This is mainly due to the lack of knowledge on how to store and handle food properly, how to use leftovers, and also the difference between “best before” and “use by” date labels.
This wasteful behavior does not only have an impact on households’ budgets, but also a huge impact on the environment.This blog offers tips for reducing food waste and leftover recipes!
